you write, "The Biden–Harris administration would be wise to not put blind allegiance to net-zero policy ahead of respecting human rights."
And there's your problem, there is nothing about the Biden-Harris administration that can be considered wise, so it is no surprise they continue to do things that are counterproductive to the US long-term interests
Great piece, ladies. Here in MN the government controlled power companies are now paying our beloved farmers more to cover their fertile lands with toxic solar panels(cadmium which was outlawed decades ago in other industries) than grow food. As a mechanical engineer I can attest to the physics failure of solar panels for anything other than charging batteries in a snow covered MN, let alone sunny AZ.
A relative few have become multimillionaires with taxpayer monies; it should be felonious.
Nicely done, ladies. Thank you. My apologies for my tardiness in reading your essay. Two questions:
First, are there parallels between China's solar panels and South Africa's blood diamonds?
Second, how do the purveyor's of woke babble justify China's questionable labor with the Uyghurs and in the DRC, against the virtue signals sent by removing any shred of evidence that there ever was a Confederacy? Have they even made the connection? Apparently not, from you essay.
Government: Stop stealing our money and giving it to the Chinese.
Or try to ensure that those goods aren't produced with slave labor. It really isn't a high bar.

Yes! Pull in the green votes today, don't worry about the consequences overseas or in the future.
